The situation with the launch cargo transportation vehicle Progress M-27M

As you know, on April 28, 2015  a carrier rocket SOYUZ-2 .1A for flight development tests launched the cargo transportation vehicle PROGRESS M-27M from Baikonur.

But according to the press-service of Roscosmos in the carrying out of additional testing of units and systems of ship April 29, 2015 year are failures of individual elements and components of the CTV, as well as lack of seal routes of propulsion.

And according to experts the Roscosmos, the continued flight of CTV Progress-M-27M and its secure docking with the ISS is not possible.

At present any danger to the international space station CTV Progress-M-27M is due to significant differences in the height of the orbit. And as they believe in Roscosmos coming off CTV Progress-M-27M from orbit and its combustion in the atmosphere will take place on 5-7 May.

As the press service of the Roscosmos for establish the causes of the contingency solution of the State Commission for the flight testing of manned space complexes created by the working group. The conclusions of the State Commission are expected no later than May 13, 2015 onwards.

The remains of the vessel should burn in the dense layers of Earth’s atmosphere and only very small fragments can fall into the ocean.
