Post subject:  First test flight

At last, the EARL-D4 has been tested. It took about nine months to build, during 2016, and then we had to wait sixteen months to organise a test flight, which took place on Thursday May 3rd, at a military range in eastern Romania.

The flight was substantially successful. The rocket motor worked on its first use in flight, and the EARL was stable in flight, and the automatic guidance worked. What didn't work, was the parachute, which was to have provided the soft landing, so that we could fly the vehicle again. Instead, it glided all the way down, and hit the ground hard, destroying the nose section, and the stored data. We would like to go again, of course, this time with a better parachute release, but it will take 8-9 months to build another hull, and the money is not available, at present.Looking for investors. IF we can get the programme on course again, we will end up with a re-usable vehicle that can go into space.
