Well, an airship has a very large frontal area to make up for the thin air at that altitude, so...

Ramjets top out at around 2km/s, so it's not going to get you to orbit, but perhaps it could be useful as a reusable first stage? Cutting 2-3km/s off the required delta-V makes getting into orbit so much easier, so a rockoon could get you the rest of the way.

We have a pending project for a combo solid rocket transition to ramjet first stage to 80-90,000' with a solid second stage to 100 km.
Orbital would follow if the suborbital proved viable.

Most of the universe is space so use it.
