Airships tend to have quite large cross sections. If we put a funnel on the front, we could scoop up quite a lot of air. Heat it up with a chemical rocket engine, and we could increase the effective Isp quite a bit.

The problem is, I can't find anything about the drag coefficient of a funnel. I *think* it should be around 0.5...
