Its with sadness that I learned that Charles Pooley "CPooley" has passed away this week. He has long been a fixture of the amateur rocketry community and this forum and was the driving force behind Microlaunchers.

I have learned a lot from him and even our arguments and disagreements were instructive. He will be greatly missed.

Sorry to hear that I liked his comparison of #NewSpace to when computers changed from government only to the democratisation on the micro computer era. I will let them know on the N-Prize forum as he was Team 5 representative.

In a world of bland pebbles, there are too few amazing crystals.

Shine on, you crazy diamond.

Major bummer I was looking forward to talking to him in person again at Space Access 15 his co-author Ed was there and said he was supposed to be there but hadn't shown up yet.

I like Charles and condolences to his cohort Blair Gordon.

light speed Charles and on till morning
