MANNED SPACESHIP BREAKS THE SOUND BARRIER IN QUEST FOR SPACE

The X PRIZE (www.xprize.org) competition took another step forward on this historic 100th anniversary of flight with the supersonic flight of Scaled Composites SpaceShipOne. This represents the first manned supersonic flight by an aircraft developed by a private, non-government effort.
