Space Entrepreneurs Share Future Plans at California Conference

chabot imageEntrepreneurs from several ANSARI X PRIZE teams, space hotel firms, and other organizations converged in California in early October to discuss their plans to develop space privately.

The conference sponsor, the Space Frontier Foundation, presented ANSARI X PRIZE winner Burt Rutan with its annual Vision to Reality Award, and the X Prize Foundation’s Bob Weiss with its annual Founders Award.

Leaders of XCOR Aerospace, Armadillo Aerospace, and JP Aerospace also shared their visions for the future of private space development.

Telecom investor and space enthusiast, Walt Anderson felt that the recent ANSARI X PRIZE flights dramatically improved the credibility of these entrepreneurs.

In a surprise appearance, music superstar and space enthusiast Lance Bass showed up to congratulate the private space pioneers and to state his own desire to fly into space soon.
