Launches of "Proton-M" will resume not earlier than autumn

Launches of carrier rockets will be resumed not earlier than autumn because of prolonged investigation of the “Proton-M” accident which took place on May 16. The interagency Commission could not establish in time the reasons for emergency by June 8, because of which “Express-АМ4R”communication satellite was lost – said in publication.

According to other media report, “even in 2013 during the checking of one of the products of this type in a header for air supply to the engine of the second stage of “Proton” were found several unused tubular aluminium seals.

According to the plan of Roscosmos, in the coming months Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center had to provide four launches of “Proton”.

In turn other media reports that the investigation of May accident is completed, the materials submitted for consideration in the government.

“It is not excluded that Dmitry Rogozin will announce the results of the investigation into the environment,” said in the statement.
