Kennedy Space Center, FL — United Space Alliance (USA) has reached agreement with its Florida employees represented by the National Federation of Public and Private Employees (Fed Pri), District No. 1.
Fed Pri employees voted unanimously to ratify their collective bargaining agreement during a meeting today.

“We are pleased that the negotiations have come to a successful and timely conclusion. The final agreement is competitive in our marketplace, and is a fair and equitable settlement for both USA and the Fed Pri employees. We look forward to continuing to support the Space Shuttle Program safely and successfully with the contribution of our Fed-Pri employees,” said William Pickavance, USA’s Vice President of Launch and Recovery Systems.

There are 74 Fed Pri-represented employees at USA’s Florida locations. They provide planning and scheduling administrative support of maintenance programs for facilities, which are required to support the ground processing of the Space Shuttle vehicle. These employees also maintain property records, analyze and facilitate maintenance of material stock levels, perform freight traffic coordination and maintain receiving records.

United Space Alliance is a world leader in space operations with extensive experience in virtually all aspects of the field. Headquartered in Houston and employing 10,000 people in Texas, Florida and Alabama, USA is applying its broad range of capabilities to NASA’s Space Shuttle, International Space Station and Constellation programs as well as to space operations customers in the commercial and international space industry sectors.
