The Delegation of NSAU Took Part in the Third Joint Conference of Subcommittee of Cooperation in the Sphere of Space Industry of Economical Cooperation Committee of Ukrainian-Russian Interstate Commission

On the 18th of March the delegation of NSAU took part in the Third joint conference of Subcommittee of cooperation in the sphere of space industry of Economical cooperation committee of Ukrainian-Russian interstate commission (Subcommission) in Moscow.

The results of execution of the decisions of the 2nd Subcommission conference, the state of practical realization of projects of Program of Ukrainian-Russian cooperation in the sphere of space exploration and peaceful utilization in the years 2007-2011 were examined at the Conference. The main attention during the work of Subcommission was paid to the realization of programs “Land Launch”, “Dnepr”, RS ISS, “Koronas-Foton”, “Radioastron” and to the fulfillment of measures of preparation to the first-rank experiments on the Russian segment of International Space Station (RS ISS) according to the Long-term program of Russian-Ukrainian scientific explorations and experiments on RS ISS signed by NSAU, Roskosmos, Academies of Sciences of Ukraine and Russian Federation.

The Subcommission had noted that there is a great potential for the development of cooperation concerning the formation of ground structure on the territories of Ukraine and Russian Federation which could enable to provide exploration of GLONASS system and other satellite navigational systems by Russian and Ukrainian customers. Practical steps for the deployment of works on formation of ground-based infrastructure, including placement and certification of control-correcting stations and system of distribution of correcting information, were contemplated. Subcommission admitted as expedient for the processing of navigational-informational supplement technologies to deploy in 2008 the experimental fragment of Joint System of differential corrections and monitoring on the territories of border regions of Ukraine (Autonomous Republic of Crinea) and Russian Federation (Krasnodar Territory).

In the course of the Conference actual problem questions of bilateral cooperation were examined, in particular of the participation of Russian enterprises in the Ukrainian-Brazilian project “Cyclone-4″, completion of procedures of development of contractual and legal base in the part of assignment of appropriate intergovernmental agreements for legal regulation of questions of technology protection during the cooperation in space exploration and peaceful utilization, exploitation of rocket and rocket-space technique and the protection of intellectual property.

The protocol was signed according to the results of the Conference.
