NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., will host a workshop to assist small businesses on April 18 at the Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego’s Mission Valley. The workshop, “Doing Business With the Jet Propulsion Laboratory,” is also sponsored by the San Diego Contracting Opportunities Center.

Business owners will learn how to form partnerships with JPL and NASA. Thomas May, manager of the JPL Business Opportunities Office and Supplier Diversity Program, will be the highlighted speaker. He will explain JPL’s procurement process for general services and supplies. May will also outline how to become a future JPL supplier, and will describe potential opportunities for small businesses, as well as those owned by women, veterans and the disadvantaged.

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss potential procurement opportunities with JPL supply chain personnel at the conclusion of the workshop. Prime contractors in the San Diego area are also welcome to attend.

There is no fee to attend; however, seating is limited and reservations are required. Online registration is available at: http://www.ptac-sandiego.org/workshop.html .
