Registration is now open for the international symposium “Developing trends in Public Procurement and Auditing” which the European Space Agency (ESA) will host 14-16 May 2007 at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk, The Netherlands.

The symposium will be organised by the ESA Procurement Department and will focus on developing trends in the field of public procurement and auditing.
Being a large procurement agency, ESA places large development contracts with leading space industries located in the 17 Member States, with the related a-priori and a-posteriori procurement auditing aspects being an integral part of the overall procurement process.

The main focus of the symposium will be on public procurement and auditing aspects related to high technology and long duration programmes, being typical for space and defence related activities.

Hosting this symposium ESA considers that by bringing professional procurement and auditing experts together in an international setting will allow for a very inspiring and useful forum with participation form the space and defence sector both on the procurement authority and on the industry sector side.

Available for download: detailed provisional symposium programme.

Symposium registration is now open
