Press release: RocketplaneĀ® has welcomed three new employees in addition to John Herrington. The company also bids a fond farewell to intern Aaron Ratka.
Aaron Ratka interned at Rocketplane for the summer, performing a variety of tasks assisting in the XP Program area. As a Mechanical Engineering major, he gained valuable experience that will help him decide where to focus his career development efforts. Aaron recently left Rocketplane for Germany to spend his Junior year studying abroad, participating in an international exchange program through the Milwaukee School of Engineering in Milwaukee, Wis.

While saddened by the loss of Aaron, Rocketplane is also pleased to welcome Laura Campbell, Nathan Cobb, and Kaare Erickson to the Design Team as Lead Design Engineers. Kaare and Laura came to Rocketplane from Cessna/Textron in Wichita, Kan., and both are graduates of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. The married couple has a beautiful baby girl that is approximately five months old. Nathan joined the team from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Palmdale, Calif. Nathan graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as well and worked at Boeing and Microcosm before LM. All three have been working as Aeronautical Engineers prior to Rocketplane and bring talent and skills that will complement the team in many ways.
