T/Space Home http://www.transformspace.com/pages/1/index.htm Sound very cool. Some of the most innovate companies and individuals in space circles, coming together to realistically plan the future of space exploration. What I'd give to be part of that team! Also, the attitude of NASA seems encouraging. Quote: In the t/Space scenario, companies will design, build and own the lunar infrastructure (vehicles, habitats, power stations, greenhouses and the like) from which NASA will buy services to support its explorers. This model is what many of us have envisioned and what the future of space exploration will be based on. Bring it on! Last edited by Pete on Tue Sep 07, 2004 2:18 am, edited 1 time in total. |

i cant wait to see what these guys come up with. this is the biggest break the industry has had and the fact that NASA is so willing to adapt to it is extremely encouraging...

This will also get them around the land ownership problem.

And we shouldn't forget that Scaled Composites is part of the t/Space-team... They can pull the business a little bit closer to the private firms but NASA might find a very tricky way to make them its client. What do you think?

I find it a bit ironic that Burt Rutan, who makes fun of NASA every chance he gets, is now receiving money from NASA. Although it is a very small amount of money at present (the whole t/Space team is getting about $3m). Oh well, I really don't care what Burt Rutan says, as long as he keeps building spacecraft.
