I hope that once the prize is won by someone that interest by the public and by competitors is not lost.
The greatest tragedy that could result would be for a minature repeat of what followed the end of the Apollo program. I think a yprize should follow the xprize that should be a repeat but with orbital insertion. |

The number of companies taking paying passengers on Suborbit flights will rapidly expand if they can make money doing so.
Several studies have shown that there is great demand in the $20,000 to $100,000 range among people able to afford it or save for it. The question is, "Are saving for your first ride in space?" |
