Hi,
Activity in the forum seems to have cooled down a bit. Is anyone still active on this challenge? I'm interested in helping out if anyone needs it. Haven't got any special skills but I'm willing to learn. Leon |

We just recently did some calculations that showed it would be possible to go into orbit powered by sugar but the cost of the amount of propellant used would exceed the N-Prize spending limit, not to mention it would require six stages.
Where do you live? We are located in the Mojave Desert of California. |

We just completed our first static test firing today of a new propellant that eliminates some of the problems we had with using sorbitol. If it works out in large scale motors this may be a game changer for us. So while activity on the forum may have slowed or stopped for some, we are more engaged than ever and we're not an 'official team'.
I still think teams should unite to make this challenge happen. I know some teams have some portions of the challenge complete but behind or not started in others. Maybe I should start a team "Together Make It Really Happen". Rick |

Wikisat team is working hard as well. Next December 17th, we will try to achieve the space using only our Stage2 (This black soda can at the end) from our WikiLauncher:

Just finished re-machining our previous nozzle today with modifications for our new 7" motor. Planning on 3 static tests before a flight. Nozzle will make use of inserts with throats of different diameters depending on motor configuration.
