After years of preparation, the Zero-G Corporation is finally go for launch. The first commercial flight of its zero-gravity airplane, which simulates weightlessness by flying parabolas, is set for July 8. The plane also simulates Martian and lunar gravity on some of the parabolas. (The plane has already flown before- some of the scenes in the Matrix movies were filmed onboard. But this is the first time average people can book a flight.)

This definitely seems like a much cheaper way to get some space thrills. (That is, if you consider $2,950 to be cheap.) Although Zero-G can be chartered anywhere, they currently operate out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Here's what you get for that money, according to the website:
8:00 AM ZERO-G Experience check-in
9:00 AM Ground training and astronaut presentation
11:30 AM Light lunch with ZERO-G Coaches and Crew
1:00 PM Safety Review and transportation to airport
2:00 PM Weightless Flight aboard G-FORCE ONEā„¢ (Fort Lauderdale/ Hollywood International Airport)
5:00 PM Re-Gravitation Party with awards presentation
