By controling the heating of water to near thermolisis temperatures and great pressures, the water could contact a catalyst seperate into.hydrogen and oxygen and recombine in a thrust nozzle. At first I was thinking thermite, but ground based laser power would make a very light, water powered reusable engine spacecraft.

Let not the bindings of society hold you back from improving it.... the masses follow where the bold explore.

How would the effect of the water be in space, would the oxygen be extracted out upon instant exposure, or would the thruster be ignited and then introduced to the space environment?
