Hi guys!
I have decided to place some of my astro-photos on merchandise to be sold through Zazzle - http://www.zazzle.co.uk/robsastrophotography If any of you get time then it would be great if you could PM, E-mail or reply to this with some product ideas! My photos are at robsastrophotography.co.uk but I imagine only the Full Moon and half Moon images are of enough quality to be placed on merchandise. I was hoping for some ideas on word-play and picture-play e.g. using my Moon image to represent words. Anything Space related would be very, very much appreciated! Could possibly add some organisation logos if any of you wish to advertise a bit. Anyway, thought there no better place for ideas that here so pop me a message if you get time Thanks! Sitting in anticipation! Rob _________________ > http://www.fullmoonclothing.com > http://www.facebook.com/robsastrophotography > robgoldsmith@hotmail.co.uk |

Insert "mooning" joke here.
Most merchandising is tied to a specific trademarked product, like a museum or sports franchise. To start "generic" means you are starting literally from scratch with zero marketing inertia. Tough to overcome and not likely to make much, and the margins are very small on just supplying the "art" for someone else's products (lots of public domain astronomy pics, etc.) However, quite a few web sites produce "swag" for their sites, often as fund raising to offset the cost of maintaining them. Maybe you could brand them as "Space Fellowship"? I think most of us here would be partial to picking up a coffee mug or two with your moon pictures on it if it went to keeping the site up. |
