Our first launch from a airport! Lockhart Muni-Airport 9am CST Lockhart, Texas. The FAA issued a NOTAM for this launch. Lockhart now is an official Nearspace Port! The APRS tracking system will be under test as well as the cutdown system for Zero Pressure balloon operations on an up-coming flight.
You can follow the track on the APRS system LIVE! at aprs.fi We will be cuting down the secondary payload at a low altitude and locating it with the prototype satellite it has a camera on it.
The main payload will continue to burst altitude carrying our first HD camcorder a Sony HDR-TG3e. The main payload will also carry a second prototype satellite to burst altitude.

We scrubbed too windy miscommunication between the city manager and the airport. Arrrg! Resetting the launch.

NSE-5 was a success! Good track and recovery. Test of the cutdown and ignition circuits as well as HD Video. NSE-6 is now in progress and will prove even more exciting!
