hey monroe,

don't think i'm gonna be able to work for you, but i'd be happy to put out some feelers here to see if i can find someone who still needs a job and would be interested. what are you looking for - ece, mechanical, cs, physics, materials? anything else that i missed? what are the priorities? no promises but i'll try to steer some qualified individuals your way.

I've got a friend who works for this startup: http://www.moat.com/. probably gonna go with them for at least like half a year. don't judge me, but i want to try to break into space industry with enough to invest and not have to draw a salary :-D

but seriously, i'd be happy to try and find you some people to help out. i know you'll take anyone who loves space and is willing to get their hands dirty, but it would make my life easier if you'd tell me what you really need. most of the obvious "loves space" people at cornell already have jobs in aerospace, aren't graduating yet, or are going to grad school, so specificity would probably help. people here in engineering tend to respect space and be interested in it, while not having had enough time to properly pursue it. they are amenable to conversion, and the cornell work ethic is one of the best in the country. also, probably not too late to find, or at least consider, interns if that's also an option.

cool. thanks. by the way, congrats on reaching this stage of active expansion. i never imagined that any of the n-prize teams would manage to do more than build a rocket that may or may not reach orbit using volunteers and duct tape. i think it's an incredible testament to your dedication and luck that you've managed to actually get people to invest.

Well, tell you the truth it just happened. All I did was keep going. I did devote everything to it. I did have the greatest teacher. Mel Fisher! I also made changes in my approach and I'm dead honest about everything.
I left a trail here and on the Google group we started on. So anyone could follow. If you have a dream. There is the formula. I started flat broke and busted. I knew the N-Prize was a wild card and Dr. Paul dear provided the spark needed. This allowed us to start and that's exactly what you need to start from "0" is a crazy dream and a place to express it.
From the get go I planed ANEI and the N-Prize is a great stunt to start something like this. Team Prometheus will continue as a separate entity that will alow any one that wants to, to have fun going into space. Team Prometheus will provide a means for education and furthering the New Space Frontier. ANEI will make that happen.
I'm not in this for myself that's the key. I want only to see everyone get busy going into space. Money's not my goal is just a by-product of hard work and dedication and I'll put all of mine back into something to further the cause I dont need much. I get tremendous satisfaction from doing the difficult and watching people come to life and being on fire for a cause.
