This is a thread for Google Lunar X PRIZE rocket rover ideas. Please post video examples or diagrams whenever possible.
Here is a new video of Der Wienerrover: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxC2qo-OCUg And here is a special message to Nicky J Rocket Girl from the Wienerrover: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJyDwlXYF0I _________________ Oh, I wish I was an Oscar Mayer Wienerrover...That is what I'd truly like to be--ee--ee. A thread for GLXP rovers?
Do you believe that GLXP can be won with miserably designed toys like "Der Wienerrover"? |

Actually, early on I predicted that a Radioshack toy would be able to win the contest. And now for less that $70 US I believe I may have found a candidate. It looks kind of like Wall-E.
But as to your more specific question, all I can say is that after my Fourth of July test of the Wienerrover, there have been no more videos of X PRIZE rovers (unless you count team Selene's Oxyhydrogen rover, aka Mosquitorover). So it looks like the other teams have been humbled extensively. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2C8rjj6S2Sc Also, the Wienerrover is not a miserably designed toy. It is actually the product of a symphony of engineering subtleties. _________________ Oh, I wish I was an Oscar Mayer Wienerrover...That is what I'd truly like to be--ee--ee. Fortunately you are lucky.
A forum just right for brilliant space enthusiasts does exist. Forum for people with unconventional ideas Present your rover there and ask the forum members, what they think about it. |

Excuse me, but did I accidentally drop in on a forum for serious scientists?
