Is this the best October ever or what? Lots of LLC activity, a mock Ares 1 launch, Cerberus crater is about to get a violent visitor from earth, and qualification burns for the initial falcon 9 engine group. This is even without mentioning my thirtieth birthday.
If we could just get the inaugural flights of the F9 and SS2 tucked into the few free remaining days my life would be complete ![]() Go masten I will cheering! ~Daniel |

I log on to find that Masten is in the middle of their attempt. Awesome! Holy rockets, batman! Uh, oh, did I say 'Holy'? I meant. . . High . .. yes, high rocketry . . that was it . . .

There's video from someone's cell phone of Masten filling the rocket between attempts, and will probably have more media later on. http://masten-space.com/blog/

Question for Masten: from here, what's the timeline until suborbital? What's the timeline until orbit?

Id be interested to hear what the plans are after this, and of course after Level2, all going well of course.
BTW, here is a sweet video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEqGRh_u ... r_embedded Lol, also Paul Breed posted about Masten's Level2 craft, the last sentence made me laugh a bit! ...On Monday I stopped by their shop and got a look at their L2 vehicle (I think I can now say this publicly as they have now published a picture of it) it's very light and looks largely complete. They probably just have to bolt the engine and electronics from xombie on it and they have a real good shot at Level 2. All in all a very discouraging week. |
