Artwork Thread

Following up on Sigurd's kind suggestion that it was okay to post some artwork on the walls of the cafe. Here's a quickie virtual windtunnel test of a potential X Prize contender:

I like the model, but where's the "windtunnel" part of it? oh yea, and those engines look awfully small....

The windtunnel is virtual, ya can't see it ... but, yep, needs lots bigger engines. I'll elaborate on it when I get time... maybe do a real hot rod that can do 0-60 gravs in 15 seconds or so. Heh, heh.

EDIT: oh yea, i was thinking if you had a windtunnel thing you might show the flow in the graphic, like all the cfd pictures you see do.

I like it! If somebody tells me how to post pictures (bitmaps + Jpeg's) I will be able to show you all my autistic side!

Luke, you can use the IMG tag (see the buttons at the top when you are replying to message). You will need a server to host your picture on, then just put the link to it between the open and close IMG tags. It is good netiquette to keep the size of your art under 100K so that the folks who still have dialup connections can enjoy it easily also.

Typos, misspellings, straying from good grammar, unintended twists in meanings as tangled fingers tumble across the keyboard---all those indicate naught but great minds in throes of lightning fast communicative endeavor simply outrunning the medium of intelligence transferring.

While I have more than once used the above excuse (always to little avail), the truth is that we all just gets a bit sloppy from time to time. I just read through them.

But, then, I guess I have an autistic soul.

Thanks Author, I will have a go at posting a picture I found in the archives when I get back to work, I can't handle this crappy dial-up modem at home. I might as well use the Royal Mail! (Although to be fair on my modem, my e-mails stand a good chance of being delivered!!)

that's great ralph, i really need to get on 3ds max and learn how to use it well. maybe in a couple weeks i'll have something to contribute to the space artwork.
