The flight 5 webcast appears to be up on the spaceX homepage but nothing is loading for me, is this the same for everyone else? It looks like they've made the webpage but the webcast hasn't started yet. If I've gotten my timezones right their launch window should open in about 5 minutes.

All the latest information and live coverage is at:
http://spacefellowship.com/2009/07/13/l ... -razaksat/ Latest information: Quote: Launch is now targeted for 2:00 GMT with the webcast to start at 1:40 GMT. That's a delay of about 2 hours. _________________ Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible. - Lord Kelvin, 1892 |

I haven't seen much news going out on this launch, beyond the space media sights. Not even CNN who feels compelled to provide coverage on the government launches.
Somehow I think SpaceX is missing out on a key media event at a critical moment in the COTS program. And we've got these new NASA directors coming on board, who say they support commercial ventures, but yet we read almost nothing in the mainline press about this first truly private launch service. Come on SpaceX media director. The public can't hear you. _________________ The Magic Helmet |

they should fire that girl on the webcasts, the one from "public and media relations". i'm sure she's the reason the launch didn't get any mainstream media coverage. they can get a real female engineer to do the webcasts instead. seriously i like the british guy but she's just annoying. all the reporters who were watching the webcast heard her talk and had to turn it off.
