in the latest update to my "Ares-1 can't fly" article ( http://www.ghostnasa.com/posts/012arescantfly.html ) I talk about the Ares-1 stage-separation ullage motors reported in this Hyperbola post: http://www.flightglobal.com/blogs/hyper ... -risk.html well, since these 20+ ullage motors add very much risks to the Ares-1 flight, the REAL safety and reliability of this new rocket CAN'T BE "two times better than an EELV" (as claimed by NASA) but (probably) 5+ TIMES LESS than an EELV so, the Ares-1 CAN'T FLY (or can't fly SAFELY) and the FULL ESAS PLAN is seriously DOOMED . _________________ . On the upside, a Falcon 9 Heavy only has 28 Main Motors.
