Okay I have made it over to the team hang out.
What requires the assistance of someone with a background in mechanical design and construction, machining and working outside the box.

I hear Kevin Gore is stuck and has not gained access to the fourm yet. Tony and Paul are on the road and will login when they get back, Haven't heard from Rick yet. (he's pretty busy) Art Applewhite our teams newest member is awaiting aproval as well. Welcome Art! Art is a great guy he gave me a boost when the local NAR guy's shuned me. Thanks Art! One more thing Art is famous for his unique rocket models. http://www.artapplewhite.com/ I hope we can get him to build something unique for our first balloon launch comming up! Dave Hien is from Propel-X and is the man behind the "Quad Pod" with a phd as well. http://home.swbell.net/davehein/ModX/quadpod_ii.html Dave is a super addition to Team Prometheus and is very key in our Near Space Expedition. Welcome All!

Monroe

I'll introduce others as they arrive.

Dr. Paul Dear has informed everyone that N-Prize Mission patches are on the way to us! Will be posting more about that and we will be sending mission patches to every team member. Our team may have to pay for some of ours I don't know yet. We have the official Team Prometheus patches designed and we need to order them as well. I think the mission patches will be very cool!

Post Introducing myself   Posted on: Tue Jun 16, 2009 3:43 am
Greetings Everyone!

My name is Stewart Lilley, and I learned about this great team and N-prize adventure only last week when I met Monroe and Dave at the AARG launch. I have a background in aerospace engineering, although I haven't been active as an engineer in a while. I've never quit being interested in space and generally everything geeky. I don't live in Austin, but I'm not far away in Lampasas. These days I fix computers for a living, work for myself and from home so I have some schedule freedom. I hope to be a contributing part of this effort as much as I can. I have significant experience as a rocketeer, radio operator (AD5FB), electronics hobbyist, programmer, carpenter, amateur diesel mechanic, astronomer, and too many other minor interests to list. I'll try to speak up when I have anything useful to add to a discussion, although in general I prefer to listen rather than talk as much possible. I look forward to meeting the rest of you guys as the opportunity permits.

Stew

Stew
Glad you made it and welcome to the Team!
I have a question that will make you laugh!
Do you have an old Sound Blaster AWE 64 laying around?
