Hiiii guys!
I was sitting here thinking about the X-prize and how private spaceflight is inevitably around the corner, and I'm wondering about others' thoughts as to what's next in the fields of both spaceflight and outer space in general. Should the next big thing to happen be an effort for a private spacestation, or perhaps mining expeditions, a suborbital refueling station for deepspace flights or perhaps something else? |

The nice thing about private industry is you don't have to choose. Different companies will pursue different ideas; so maybe we'll get both a space station and refueling depot. What will determine the choices is not some central organizing committee but the forces of the free market. If the space station is more profitable than the refueling station, we'll see more space stations. |

I guess I didn't think of it that way. That's pretty cool.
