Iain has posted an update on his site http://kiwi2space.blogspot.com/
Well looking at my last post its been about 2 months since my entry into the N-Prize, I'd like to say things have been plain sailing since then, but not really the case, as I'm learning, things do take alot longer than you think even if someone has already told you you this, you tend to brush it off untill down the track when you do realise...... I want to get this out of the way, there has been alot of debate on various forums about whether the N-Prize is achievable, everyone has there own opinion which is cool, myself personally, I think it is achievable, I live by the motto "don't let anyone tell you you you can't do anything" and its no different in applying it to this prize, imagine the world if no one took up "that" challenge, the world needs far out people, dreamers, its these people that inspire the next generation. I hope to prove all the non believers wrong, if not successfull, I sincerly hope one of the other teams will. This is where I stand and my thoughts so I'm going to leave it at that..... Read the rest of the update at http://kiwi2space.blogspot.com/ Please feel free to discuss this topic further... _________________ > http://www.fullmoonclothing.com > http://www.facebook.com/robsastrophotography > robgoldsmith@hotmail.co.uk |

Iain,
You probably made the right decision by opting for a ground launch. Although there is certainly nothing “wrong†|

Thanks Sage
My biggest dileberation over the last few months has been this topic, as you say, there is nothing wrong with a balloon launch, I just feel that a ground launch can be some what controlled more, and is exactly as you say, potentially less complex and expensive. Plus I can't watch my rocket launch from 100,000ft!!!! Iain |
