Well, I would probably allocate a high mass antenna of significant length and orient it vertically towards the ground. At 2 grams or so it should provide significant gravitational torque to keep the sat upright.

That’s interesting, how is the "gravitational Torque" calculated? Is there some other snippet of information you can offer?

Also called Gravity Gradient.
Its issues are +/- 5 degs. of control, only handy in low earth orbits, the aerial may suffer temp shocks as it eclipses, and you may insert the craft upside down ![]() None of which matter for the N-Prize. If you are equatorial then magnets work too, but you don't get a free aerial. Formula: Is here. I got a question, I've been looking round on the net for all the components needed to make the satellite "beep" pretty much, for all under 19grams but am struggling, has anyone found any worth while components out there I can look in to?

The hard part with the sat is that it comes out of the total budget.
That means the tiny space hard electronics can only cost $100 or so if you are going to have anything left to spend on a reasonable launcher. I wonder if anyone has minature satellites going cheap on e-bay...
