i'm sure you've noticed some of us have gotten the avatar function to work, you have to link to an outside picture to do it. the xprize gallery has alot of good pictures to choose from. also, i'm sure you've noticed the "titles" that go over the avatars and under the name. i'll leave figuring them out to you, but suffice to say they are the atmosphere layers and then various stages of orbit (yes there are ones beyond LEO if you get your post count high enough). if you want a personalized one you can pm sigurd and beg him to change it.

People please DO NOT put a too large picture in your profile, if it's larger as 100 in width or height.. I'll DELETE the picture imediatly from your profile. (those pictures are else too heavy to load AND too tall, they will push the side bar to the right)

The ranks and the avatars are nice features.
I've added a detail from an original science fiction rocket scene that I did using raytracing as mine. --Ralph _________________ --Ralph Roberts CEO, Creativity, Inc. author of THE HUNDRED ACRE SPACESHIP http://1vid.com |

on avatars: i chose mine from tgv as i enjoy their container-sized concept, hope it comes to fruition (it's ease of transport could open up a new kind of leo-satellite-on-demand market)
thinking outside the box on inside the box <-- now that's something lol |

i formally declare this to be the "new forum stuff and suggestions" thread, and as that's what it is, i formally thank sigurd/legionaire (whoever did it) for the new forums, and request a general discussion forum for non-xprize space stuff, and for non-space tech stuff.

Well, both of us changed it, we where just online at the same moment sending private messages and changing it Well, I'll share my opinion about your forum suggestions with The Legionnaire and then we'll see. _________________ Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible. - Lord Kelvin, 1892 |

Nice work. In case you're interested, here's a couple links that lead to messageboards with some extremely skilled and talented computer graphic artists:

Be nice, though, if definitions were posted and the number of points to change level. Or are they somewheres?
