I'm interested in entering the race myself. I have a model of the spaceship and exact measurements with statistics to support my research. Yet, i don't know who I should talk to get my model to become real. Who do you think would help me? How do you officially enter the race? -thanks,

Scaled Composites is making their first suborbital launch in just over two weeks, and they'll likely make their 60-day announcement less than a week after that. So you'd have to find a set of investors, a team of CFD-trained design engineers, a private contractor, and a test pilot by about the 15th, make your announcement then, and hope you have a vehicle before Scaled takes the prize. However, all you have to do to enter the race itself is go here. Good luck! _________________ American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering In Memoriam... Apollo I - Soyuz I - Soyuz XI - STS-51L - STS-107 |

if i were Agus33160 and could spare the cash for entry i would go for it even knowing that the x-prize is in all likelihood way out of reach - just to get in on record for potential investors while really aiming for the x-cup
it's not spin if you're dedicated + edit: as it costs money it also has the potential to show you're serious unless "everybody" views your plan as unrealistic (i.e. your plan should be better than the 3 least believable you can find among the teams - i'll leave it to you figuring out which those are) |

I added him in msn messenger.. but he never came online.. and now with ss1 announcement I think he can't win the xprize.
But of course, for the x-prize cup, it isn't that bad to still join and try.. still a lot to win.. and in the end.. it's the commercial industry that's the winners luck to have _________________ Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible. - Lord Kelvin, 1892 |

That is, unless you want to be laughed out of the X-Prize like they were. My guess for the three least believable teams would be Flight Exploration, Discraft, and Acceleration Engineering, in that order. But that's just me, best of luck if you actually go all the way. _________________ "Yes, that series of words I just said made perfect sense!" -Professor Hubert Farnsworth |
