Any of us could get some baby rats and swing their cage around at the right speed at the end of a rope for 10 minutes and do that experiment ourselves. If we really cared. So how how much action and how much empty talk are we full of, really?

So how how much action and how much empty talk are we full of, really? If I did that to baby rats I would probably end up with a substantial prison sentence! I'm sure the professionals took a rigorous approach, and I didn't mean to suggest otherwise - quite the contrary. |

Those traps kill outright (supposedly), but I am in the UK where people are a bit funny about doing anything which slightly distresses animals. Even if it was legal, I would be terrorized by protesters - and we have some very extreme animal rights protesters, nearly as extreme as the so-called 'pro-lifers'.
Being serious, I am happy to accept that experimenters think about whether their experiments will arrive on orbit fit for purpose. That is what I meant, but the way I put it did look snarky, and it wasn't meant to be. |

Our cats play sometimes hours with deadly injured mice and rats, so sue me

My dog used to kill lemmings by throwing them into the air until they died from fear(or possibly her bad breath.. either way, they were dead with no visible wounds on them) :D
