I think it to be a destruction only. Since the Moon can't hold an atmosphere only caves etc. might be terraformed or arreas that are artificially covered somehow.
For this reason I would prefer to do no nuclear explosions on the Moon because they might weaken the walls of terraformable caves. We also should keep in mind what Lowell Wood has said according to the article "Scientist Calls Mars a Terraforming Target for the 21st Century " ( www.space.com/scienceastronomy/070623_m ... aform.html ) : Code: Mars is far easier to terraform than the Moon, Wood advised. "It's kids' stuff as far as rendering it [Mars] into something that's human habitable quickly and easily. The Moon is a good bit tougher." Why use nukes? The article "Idea Hatched to Grow First Flower on the Moon" ( www.space.com/news/090402-moon-flower.html ) taks about a quite simpler and more evolutionary step...
What about it? Dipl.-Vokswirt (bdvb) Augustin (Political Economist) |
