As a response to the US plans to install a missile shield in Eastern Europe and in a Kaukazian Republic, the Russians plan to upgrade their military, especially air defense and ballistic missile systems.
Will the Russian space activities benefit from these efforts? Perhaps by speeding up the Angara program for a new generation launcher for military satellites?
