Weather is looking up for Space Shot. We just got through transcribing the thousand signups from X Prize Cup. Eventually, we'll have our act together like George Tyson's Orbital Commerce Project. He has a bunch of rugged old PCs that run web servers locally. Anyway, the email should be going out shortly. Things are ramping up with our PR machine as we get ready to launch our new software code named Space Shot 2.0.
Our big match this week was between ARothfolk and Crux. They squared off at level 6 on 11/3. ARothfolk emerged the victor and is now the challenger at level 7. No one else is at level 7, but there is at level 6. Crux has a number of plays at levels 8 and 9. We'll see if ARothfolk will be runner up at level 8 again or challenge Crux at level 9. Who will be first to level 10? That's Finals minus 7 levels, the round of 256. One of those 256 people will win a trip to space. Player __Hi °F_| Lo °F _| Pr "___| Hu % for Central Park, 11/3 Crux ___47.25 | 37.25 | 0.0275 | 65.75 Actual __47___|_36__ |_0_____| 47__ ARothfolk 47.25 | 36.75 | 0.0025 | 40.25 ARothfolk playing the low blue colors prevailed by a degree. Won by a cold nose. The weather game is played at http://www.space-shot.com For $3.50, make predictions by 11:59 PM for tomorrow's weather for Central Park, New York City. The grand prize has a retail value of $350,000; a trip to space selling for $250,000 and $100,000 in cash. High temperature decides with low, precipitation and humidity as tie breaks. Open to players 18 and over; all ages coming soon. The tournament has 17 rounds of competition and in each round, you play against someone just like you head to head. One $3.50 fee is all that is paid for the entire tournament. Sam Dinkin is CEO of SpaceShot, Inc. and can be reached at 888-434-6546 and dinkin@space-shot.com. |

are duking it out at the low levels as they spar for position on the next few high level matches.

Is Crux taking it easy on ARothfolk waiting for the big crushing high level victory or is Crux's edge wearing off? |

Space Shot 2.0 is taking shape. We are going to be doing a sneak preview in Mexico City on November 30. email for details. This week's weather column is a little late; busy writing test cases for a multi-billion dollar auction and busy in the sun on the Big Island. Also busy on Space Shot 2.0. For those of you who say it's impossible to win a skill game, my wife, Lynn Baker, just won the North American Bridge Championships last night.
Today we have an interesting matchup at level 6 (and others): Player __ Hi °F_ Lo °F__ Pr "_ Hu % for Central Park, 11/21 Crux ....... 50.75 34.75 0.0225 80.75 ARothfolk 48.75 33.75 0.0025 37.25 ARothfolk has been winning but today needs 49 or lower as the daily high temperature and Crux 50 or higher. AccuWeather says the high temperature in the last six hours as of 3:30 EST was 46. ARothfolk looks to get another level 7 play. That leaves a log jam with ARothfolk piling up at level 7 with Crux at levels 8 and 9. I guess I'll have to program that "trade up" feature so these guys can get to levels 10 and 11. Level 11 is just seven wins from launch--round of 128. |

Congratulations once again, ARoth!!
I think I have to refine my winning method from the summer, which seems to fail me in these winter conditions... crux |

It is official. ARothfolk has stolen my mojo. I've been crushed uncountable times in a row now... time to rethink my strategy.
