You could try encarta and any links of it onto the internet, if not try a search engine, anyway I did a mini project on this sort of thing myself and found quite a few intresting things, try these key words on a search engine:
-solid fueled rockets -liquid fueled rockets -hybrid fueled rockets (mix between solid and liquid, or using acid and solid) -solar sailing (ion stream from sun) -ion drives (uses some kind of solar panel and uses this to propel itself) Need anymore and im sure i can turf something out. _________________ hello |

A couple of other resources:
Encyclopedia Astronautica: Fairly useful for old news. SEDS: Students for the Exploration and Development of Space: Another good group of people, mostly AE college students. Probably a good idea to use the old index (click the link in the upper-right-hand corner). It's in a little better shape than the new one. American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics: The premier club for aviation- and space-minded individuals. Join when you get the chance. Take it from a Student Member. And of course, the unforgettable Space.Com: Something Amazing Every Day: Can't beat it. 'Nuff said. _________________ American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering In Memoriam... Apollo I - Soyuz I - Soyuz XI - STS-51L - STS-107 |
