Predictions for May 22:
High Low Humidity Precipitation crux42 70.75 50.25 0.4575 42.25 wxbrief 70.75 54.75 0.0175 45.75 This match will be decided on low temperature. 52 or less will go to crux42. 53 or more will go to wxbrief. With the Sunday night forecast 47 at Accuweather and the Custom Weather prediction 51, crux42 looks like the favorite at this point. |

Ahhh, check that last post. NOAA's hour-by-hour temps showed 53 as the lowest, but their report on 'highs and lows in the 6 hours preceding 7:51am' show 52F...

crux42, until we get some breakthrough public relations, I predict that you will have to meet wxbrief again at level 9 to get to level 10 (the round of 256). Rocketplane flying would provide that breakthrough PR. We have a few ways to improve the value proposition that we will be announcing over the coming months to try to drum up more players.
A conditional congratulations to you on reaching level 9 and the round of 512. As a resident of area code 512, I can tell you the only better area code than 512 is +1, the US international dialing code. If confirmed in the F-6 tomorrow morning, that will become final. |

Well, thank you for the conditional congratulations. I hope it is not premature. NOAA (revised?) their minimum temperature for the 6 hours preceeding 1:51pm, May 21st from 52F to 55F... Odd. I don't know why that would be, but its working in wxbrief's favor.
I'll add another beer to my list of IOUs should I take this one... Crux |

...in looking at their hour-by-hour reports there have been no revisions there, so I think (hope) that the 55F revision was some sort of typo or other error...

5/21 low according to National Weather Service's Central Park F-6 was 50 degrees. Crux42 was unbeatable on low in retrospect. (The prediction was beatable on high--it was 3/4 of a degree off.) Crux42, you will have to beat the best of the best 8 more times.
Wxbrief, keep honing your skill. |

crux42 lost to ARothfolk at level 5 and will face off again at level 6 and in the event of an underdog victory there, then again at level 7 and if there is another underdog victory then there will be a wait at level 8 while others move up the tournament. ARothfolk predicted 68.25 for 6/7 vs. crux42's 69.75. The NWS reported a high of 65 degrees.

Reporting to you from Verona Italy in Eastern Time + 6 hours. We're here for the World Bridge Championships.
ARothfolk has predicted 73.25 and our leader crux42 has predicted 71.75. This will be decisive with no ties possible. 72 and lower will go to crux42 and 73 and higher to ARothfolk. ARothfolk will need to win this one and two others (at level 7 against crux42 again) to meet crux42 at level 9. AccuWeather is predicting 73 and Custom Weather 74 with rain in both forecasts. The edge appears to be with the challenger. |

crux42 was beaten at level 6 by ARothfolk and against all 5 other match opponents yesterday. The NWS reported high on the F-6 for 6/9 was 75. ARothfolk can face crux42 again today at level 7 and if ARothfolk wins again, then again at level 9 for the lead once another challenger (or champion) reaches level 8.
The winner at level 9 will enter the round of 256. One of those 256 players will win $100,000 and a trip to space or $150,000. Take a survey at http://www.space-shot.com to let me know if you like the view, the zero g, the ride, or the astronaut wings. |

. . . . . . . . .High . Low Humidity Precipitation
ARothfolk 72.75 54.25 0.0025 42.25 crux42 ... 74.75 56.25 0.0575 51.75 This will be decided on high with 73 and lower going to ARothfolk and 74 and higher going to crux42. This is the flip of the level 6 match two days ago. As of 2:50 AM EDT, Custom Weather says 73 and AccuWeather says 72. The edge again goes to the challenger. If ARothfolk wins here, it may be a bit of a wait for someone else to get to level 8. A win there would cause a rematch with crux42 with the winner going to level 10, the round of 256. One of the 256 players that get to level 10 will win the grand prize. --Update-- Yesterday these two players met at level 2 and had their matched on precipitation. ARothfolk winning. crux42 may have met his match. |

The F-6 from the NWS reports 69 degrees as the observation from the Central Park weather station for 6/11. ARothfolk is now at level 8. It will take time for the other players to work up to level 8, but this should be achieved next week. The the competitor at level 8 can take on ARothfolk for the right to meet crux42 at level 9 with the winner entering the round of 256. One of the players in the round of 256 will win $100k + 100 km view from space.

wxbrief and crux42 are going head to head. wxbrief is trying to work up the levels to face crux42 at level 9. crux42 is working up the levels to knock the nearest competitors out.

Big day for Space-Shot.com. People made predictions worth $1188 for today. The biggest match was at level 5 ($48@).
crux42 again meets wxbrief: PLAYER HIGH . LOW PRECIP HUMIDITY crux42. 77.25 69.25 0.4475 88.25 wxbrief 79.75 68.75 0.0125 83.25 This match will be decided on high temperature. 79 and higher to wxbrief, 78 and lower to crux42. Accuweather as of 2:31 Eastern Time is predicting 80, but it is only 77 now. Custom Weather says 78 as of 2:32 Eastern Time. The edge appears to be with wxbrief, but if Custom Weather is correct, crux42 will prevail. If wxbrief wins, they will match up again at level 6. Next week starts the air show giveaways so hopefully momentum will continue to grow. |

The F-6 has not posted yet, but the climate report says:
" MAXIMUM 78 1143 AM 101 1966 MINIMUM 71 1159 PM 55 1940" which should mean that crux42 not only beat wxbrief, but the average of custom weather and accuweather during the afternoon in question. Nice job crux42! Let's hope for your sake that the F-6 confirms that later this morning. |
