Anyone Know anything about Discraft corp.'s Recent entry? I've seen some working blast wave pulsejets on the web, but it looks like heat buildup will be a tough obstacle to beat.

They look like a plausable underdog, but they definately need a website to promote their progress.

Heh. Sure we do -- I kinda like the idea of a flying saucer -- but (apparently) nobody knows the answer to your question.

I would have an answer if I had a website to go swipe it off. :(

That's the problem. Someone needs to teach discraft a little PR. Maybe they don't want to keep the public updated. If scaled composites sees someone in their rearview, they can easily accelerate their project.

I'd love to see discraft come from behind and snatch the X-prize.
I've found One website about blastwave technology, they even sell plans for all you gearheads to tinker with.

Crazy? you know that guy was building the infamous (semi-infamous) sub-$5000 cruise missile. Last I heard he was trying to find a way of test firing/flying it when the New Zealand government stopped it.

Wicked. Hopefully this guy doesn't kill himself before I get advanceaerospace going!

Though I have no idea about engineering, so have no idea of what I'd like to build. To enjoy life you've gotta have dreams though!

Didn't Gordo Cooper have an interest in this before his death?
