As a frequent critic of NASA, I want to congratulate NASA for its successfull Mars landing of its Spirit spacecraft. I wonder how many Alan Shepard prayers were prayed?
May the benefits be worth of the cost of US and European Mars expeditions as noted: US - Spirit and Opportunity: 820 million USD Europe - Beagle2 and Express: 286 million USD By comparison what are the benefits versus cost of the 10 million USD XPRIZE which is not funded by any taxpayer? |
