 Whats up with Xprize donation? Posted on: Wed Feb 02, 2005 10:47 pmIs Xprize.org not interested in getting more donations?
One thing is for sure, they will not get any as long as the dosn't update this page: http://www.active.com/donations/campaign_public.cfm?key=xprizefoundation The $100.000 matching challenge ended a month ago, and it still says, that they just got it and that it will end December 31st.. |

Posted on: Wed Feb 02, 2005 10:59 pm I did contact Keith Powers about it (more than a month ago)... he said he was working on a new donation system...I'm not really "optimistic" about the way the X PRIZE Foundation is handling it's internet resources... but I guess we can only wait and see if Keith Powers succeeds in making anything good...

There is no link to donations from http://www.xprixenews.org anymore - any reason for that? Some thought about Xprize and donation: - There is less that 1½ year until first real Xprize Cup... Or about 14 month. - So we need to generate some cash for that event... - If 100 people each pay $20 monthly it will generate $28.000 in 14 months - If 1.000 people each pay $20 monthly it will generate $280.000 in 14 months - If 10.000 people each pay $20 monthly it will generate $2.800.000 in 14 months - If 100.000 people each pay $20 monthly it will generate $28.000.000 in 14 months - The amount should not be fixed by the way, should be able to give the ammount you can affort.. - A good ideá for the Xprize Cup would be Xprize Awards with cash prizes. Like a people choice award, most promising newcomer, etc. - We need some way to get people to donate a fixed ammount each month for the Xprize.. To do that they will properly need some benifits..
