I'm not sure if it's possible to squash even a single person completely into the cup. We should petition for a significant expansion in size of the current cup. DKH P.S. go to the x-prize cup website and find out there how teams may enter the x-prize cup competition. If you can't find it there ... then there may not be an answer. P.P.S. don't take the above personally, I am fond of torturing people over their choice of expression - people like me worked for the spanish inquisition y'know. _________________ Per aspera ad astra |

Andy, you mean "which" and not "why" ... and the answer is frowns. Back then I used a sharp pointy stick, but only because my sarcasm was not quite so developed at the time. If you could remove all that space between the individual atoms of a team they could all get inside the cup but they probably wouldnt be able to compete once you did that. Also their mass would be the same so would the cup take the weight?
Ah so many questions, so little time. _________________ A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. |

All quantum joking aside, how would a prospective team go about registering to compete (or exhibit?) in the X Prize Cup?
I looked for information at www.xpcup.com, but it only asks annoying questions ("Would you watch a realityTV show about space pioneers like the 27 X Prize Teams?") _________________ flyovers, fly-betweens and looks |

Here's an interesting article from the space review about the X-prize cup and what some of the teams are doing or not doing for it.

Well, boys and girls, looks like we got us a real, honest-to-gosh "celebrity" in our midst....

I think I can rustle up some sparkling grape juice, but if it's short notice, I make a very mean cup of nestle' instant choclate milk. "Down the hatch!"
Pardon my ignorance, but who's the celeb? |

What ever happened to Kelly Aerospace? I seem to remember a sci-am article a few years ago showing an "Orient Express" type craft whose nose opened up after a fashion seen in "You Only Live Twice" with upper stages in that.
Tell me they went to Dubai or Brunei. Or, more probably they are joining everyone else in singing a certain song by Green Day: http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/greenday ... reams.html |
