I'm willing to try to do my part. If there are any interested ham operators out there I could start an on-the-air net on HF or IRLP. We would have the basic checkin, news announcements and traffic, ending in an open chat session.

Anyone????

How about a special-event station in the Mojave?
Anybody willing to let this be organized?
I didn't see a space for comments on the volunteer page.

KB4UHK here. I won't be on the air (HT is busted and no antenna in this apartment), but I hope it goes well in Mojave.

WA4NUO here .... sold off all my HF gear and bought computers years ago, but getting the hankering to get back on. ;-)

But did get to watch SS1's 9/29 flight via streaming video on the web.

Awesome!
