So,
- No escape Tower, - Asymetric lift, - Severe mission failure in the case of an engine out, - Lower in-atmosphere staging, - Still has an enormous literal powder keg underneath a crew, - Still uses flight of the Phoenix style scavenging, only moreso Tell me again, what are the upsides here? _________________ What goes up better doggone well stay up! - Morgan Gravitronics, Company Slogan. |

- No escape Tower ... my design adopts MY "underside-LAS" but it can use the (heavier) tower-LAS - Asymetric lift ... no, the two engines don't burn at lift-off but at 60+ km. (like every multi-engines rocket) - Severe mission failure in the case of an engine out ... there are many rockets that have two or more engines, the risks of my design can't be higher, however, I prefer/suggest a single "J-2Y superengine" (see the link in my article) atop a 4-segments SRB - Lower in-atmosphere staging ... if you refer to the rockets' aerodynamics, it can't be worse than other large rockets (DIVH, Ariane5, etc.) - Still has an enormous literal powder keg underneath a crew ... the "power" under the crew is similar to the Ares-1, the CLV and much less than Shuttle - Still uses flight of the Phoenix style scavenging ... that's true, it was a critics to the entire ESAS plan, and my design just starts from the reality of facts . _________________ .
