The new images from inside Genesis I with the corporate logos blurred out (www.bigelowaerospace.com/out_there/imag ... /2_big.jpg) just scream for all of us to play America's favorite game: Guess the corporate logo!
![]() I can definitely see Windows and Kodak. |

I bet the logos are obscured not because Bigelow can't get permision to show them, but because he is waiting to get paid to show them.

I am sure you are correct. Kodak doesn't mind their signs showing up in other photos! But astute operators know that "product placements" spell $$$.

The link didn't work for me when I inserted it into the adrees-field of the Internet Explorer - soI used www.bigelowaerospace.com/out_there/index.php bei accessing www.bigelowaerospace.com first and then clicking Out There.
I can't detect hidden logos - in contrary some of them a good readable - "BUDGET SUITES" on the second to fourth image for example. Dipl.-Volkswirt (bdvb) Augustin (Political Economist) |

Well he is hardly going to hide one of his own company logos is he Ekkehard, click on the pixilation link and he shows which ones he has scrambled. ![]() _________________ A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. |

Is "BUDGET SUITE" a Bigelow-logo? If yes I didn't know that. But there are a lot of logos to be seen obviuosly but bad imaged by the camera it seems - I would have expected a block sqare or a white square hiding a logo. It seems that some parts or pieces are moving freely inside Genesis Pathfinder 1 and hide logos by random - but of course I may be in error.

Robert Bigelow made his money in the hotel business, I believe one of his low price hotel chains is called "Budget Suites" so I would say its a pretty good bet that it is. ![]() _________________ A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. |

I am going to change my mind about logos being hidden on purpose. Here are two pictures showing what I mean.
The 1st has no deliberately hidden logos, the second does. This image has several logos that are unclear only because of motion blurring: ![]() But this image has some that look like they are obscured by reducing the resolution, in certain areas. By that I mean using bigger pixels, giving the logo a blocky appearence. ![]() |

The pixilation in between is explained under www.bigelowaerospace.com - it doesn't have nothing to do with getting payed by the companies but with getting their permission:
Quote: Because Genesis I is an experimental spacecraft, logos of many corporations were placed inside in order to establish which symbols were best observed. Due to the short timeframe between creation and launch, we did not have time to get permission from the various companies for display so we are required to pixelize the logos. As we get permission, the various logos will be revealed. The illustration above indicates the areas of the logos in red that have been pixelized in each picture. Aside from this pixilation, image cropping, color adjustment and re-sizing, no other photographic manipulation has occurred to the images.
