Despite my fingers being crossed for a spectacular hit it looks more unlikely now passing the 100 thousand to one mark.

Still sufficiently close to give the robots a decent shooting star display I think. :)

Well the next comet in the queue might give us a light dusting and some interesting clouds.

I only just spotted this it was done in march before the odds went over the 100thousand mark but interesting non the less.

Some updated info on the comet passing Mars in a few days it looks like 71% of us are likely to be correct. Most of if not all of the outside chances have been ruled up by updated calculations of its orbit but we may still get a few interesting pictures later this month.

A bit more info with a video showing how the satellites in orbit around Mars will be in the shadow of Mars for the worst part of the debris from the comet.

Slooh will be doing a couple of live webcasts to do with the comet 1st at 18:15 GMT or 19:15 BST if I am reading the clocks right. and a later one just after its past at 00:30 GMT

Your welcome another for the collection a bit fuzzy but some put together in an animation IIRC some of the data collected over the last few days won't be downlinked until Thursday so there maybe some more interesting pics when they are finally processed.
