Post Space Race To "( Salvage One )   Posted on: Sun Feb 03, 2008 2:19 pm
As humans it seems we are never happy haveing what we have here on earth, But where is our so called High Tech world leading( Or has lead us to).Are we building the most expensive junkyard in the galaxy after we have used up all the land here on earth ? The common cold still last around 2 weeks, but we can zip a human to the moon in a few hours. We ( " placed a man on the moon ? ), left billions of $$$$$ there. But now we are curious about mars ?. If the space race cost so much, why do organizations like NASA just leave so much money in vehicles and the such in places they just give up on. They send a vehicle to mars , and get pictures , and have only explored a few square miles of the( moon ?). I guess my point is , why should it cost so much for a civilian to go to space, and then NASA sends billions of $$$$$$ in experimental hardware to other planets. I think the whole deal behind this is, we have ran out of salvage yards here on earth like Nortons, and the tax payers are catching on to what is happening, so place the stuff in space and no one will know the difference. But on the other hand I guess if we go to a planet like saturn, it would leave the door open for a new car commercial.
