Only 6 people have flown into space 6 times and only 2 people have flown into space 7 times. Mike Melvill and the other SS1 pilots could break this record fairly easily over the course of program, especially when "riders" start coming onboard.

World's Fastesst Privately Owned Manned Vehicle. (The "Go-Fast" rocket may have been a little faster, but obviously was not manned).
