Providing food to Mars astronauts...

According to an article under www.marssociety.de there is already development of technology to provide food to Astronauts at a trip to Mars. The article ( www.marssociety.de/html/modules.php?op= ... le&sid=781 ) doesn't provide a link, but say explicitly,
that

1. ESA is cooperating with the french gourmet-company Alan Ducasse Formation to develop a mini-kitchen for long trips which allows by a restricted amount of ingredients and equipment for preparing and cooking reasonable and tasting foods,

2. some systems of such a kitchen like optimized refrigerating technology using the evaporating principle have passed earth-bound tests successfully and

3. there already is a system of special ceramics to remove germs from foods.

The refrigerating technology is capable of reducing the temperatur within a box by 15 degrees Celsius by evaporating 0.1 liter of water. The special ceramics system consumes 40 Volt.
