Well, for the people who saw the main site news: http://www.xprize.com
It seems to me New mexico is going to be the winner In the article, it seems that they even can get extra money after that 9m$ when it's chosen >>>Although details are still being worked out, Mitchell said a private company in New Mexico is considering a seven-figure cash prize it would provide to the runner up of the X Prize Cup. Also, another $1.5 million in state funding could be allotted for spaceport development. <<< Also the new article from BRISTOL SPACEPLANES LEADER is really nice So what do you think people of the winner for the xprize cup location ? My guess is New Mexico _________________ Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible. - Lord Kelvin, 1892 |

Here we go using taxpayer's money without even making the effort to look for corporate sponsorship.
But that's to be expected from brain-dead socialists. The $9 million aside, I still vote for New Mexico. P.S. Sigurd, I have no love for Bush, but did the socialists, peace activists, and terrorists commit murder and terrorize the country of Spain to steal its government? _________________ "Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys." Sigurd, I have no love for Bush, but did the socialists, peace activists, and terrorists commit murder and terrorize the country of Spain to steal its government? About the tax money.. sponsering for the infrastructures etc.. is kinda an investment to ALL private companies... who still have to do something on their OWN.. to be able to use it... (create a vehicle.. to be able to fly over there).. so you can even see it as a prize for companies I think. About that PS Well, Personally I don't like the socialists in spain a lot.. (because of their history), but the conservatives who ruled 8 years before now.. where damn more bad (same as bush).. The Socialists where elected because they are more democratic AND liberal (the only way trought to the future development of humen kind on the psychological table, the values where the democratical and capitalistic world is build on) so socialists and peace activists have of course nothing to do with the terrorist. But most people understand that terrorist is NOT an ennemy army... but a movement you can't stop without stopping the REAL reason why they exist. Afghanistan terrorist where made in the cold war, by USSR and US. if you bomb a country... you get mad people with nothing to lose And that's where most europians now don't agree with, with the US... you can't get rid of terrorists with war... only with stoping the reason behind it.. cause those terrorist are only "angry" people. Just before I wrote this I saw this on cnn: http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/03/ ... index.html "This is not like the Gambino crime family, a Mafia family, where if you just arrest the leaders it goes out of business," "This is more like a mass movement, and you can arrest as many people as you want. But it's very hard to arrest the movement of ideas." The only way to stop it... is to give them not a war... but a better living standard.. education, normal humen development..; will fix it... they're just like we where in the dark ages with our crusades. Bombing them each time back to the oblivian... is just NOT the answer... Anyway, that's the problem between political ennemies.. and "personal ennemies", and bush is too much focussed on political.. black and white field... Al Quada is also not just 1 company... _________________ Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible. - Lord Kelvin, 1892 |
